MEDIA RELEASE 

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating several missing people on the Big Island, including a Kona teen and four people reported missing more than a year ago.

* A 50-year-old Laupahoehoe man has been missing since Friday, Jan. 30. Roger A. Espejo was last seen around 9:20 p.m. Friday in a pasture in Paauilo off Route 19 between the 36- and 37-mile markers.

Police and Fire Department personnel searched the area Tuesday, Feb. 3, but were unable to locate Espejo.

 

Espejo is described as Filipino, 5-foot-4, 130 to 145 pounds with brown eyes, black hair. He was last seen wearing shorts and no shirt. He suffers from several medical conditions that require medication.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Detective Kelley Matsumoto at 961-2380.

* A 16-year-old Kailua-Kona boy was reported missing after he failed to return home Nov. 28.

Cesar Silva

Cesar Silva is described as Hispanic, about 5-foot-8, 155 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in the Kailua-Kona area.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Officer Robert Sakata at 326-4646, ext. 276. 

Police also are renewing a request for the public’s help in locating four people reported missing in 2007 and 2008.

 

WIllie Eriksson

* Willie Dennis Eriksson of Hilo is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds with blue eyes, short gray or partially graying hair and a goatee.

Eriksson was last seen during the evening hours of Nov. 7, 2007, at a general store in the Mountain View area of Puna.

Marlo Moku

* Marlo Moku of Hilo was last seen at a convenience store in the lower Kaumana Drive area of Hilo around 7 p.m. Sept. 23, 2008.

She is described as part Hawaiian, approximately 5-foot-7, about 180 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder-length dark brown curly hair that is occasionally worn in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing shorts and a pink tank top.

* Sophie B. Moon of Hawaiian Paradise Park was last seen at 6:45 p.m. May 11, 2008.

She is described as Caucasian, 5-feet tall, 150 pounds with blue eyes and thick, medium-length brown hair. She wears glasses and usually wears jeans and a cotton shirt.

* Patricia Alene Kenny of Port Townsend, Wash., was last seen Aug. 30, 2008 in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.

On Sept. 3, police found her rental car on Shell Road in the Nanawale Estates subdivision. Kenny is described as 5-foot-5, about 165 pounds with blond medium-length hair and blue eyes.
