FOLK book sale Saturday at Kailua-Kona Library

MEDIA RELEASE

The Friends of the Libraries, Kona (FOLK) will hold its next book sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 on the lanai of the Kailua-Kona Public Library.

Due to the large number of books for sale, readers are urged to come and stock up on reading and listening materials and support local libraries. This clearance book sale will feature rock bottom prices. FOLK members are encouraged to bring their coupons from The Orchid publication for a free book.

Funds raised from past sales help support the needs of the three Kona libraries: Kailua-Kona, Kealakekua, and Holualoa with funding that includes craft programs for the community summer reading programs, visiting authors, the back to school program in July and the newest program for preschoolers — Ready to Read/Ready to Succeed. Additionally ongoing subscriptions to Barron’s, books on CD, and DVD’s are paid for with proceeds from the book sales.

Volunteers are always needed. For further information, call 328 0203.
