Police ask for public help in Hilo vandalism case

The Hawaii Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for vandalism to windows at homes and businesses in Hilo town late Sunday night (January 25) and early Monday morning (January 26).

Police responded to several reports Monday that windows had been damaged overnight by either a BB gun or a pellet gun.

Police ask anyone with information about the cases or the identify of the vandals to call Officer Donovan Kohara at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
