Kalopa Gulch Bridge repairs set for Feb. 3

The Kalopa Gulch Bridge will be closed Feb. 3 for repairs. Residents living in the area are asked to use Papalele Road or Kalopa Road. Construction is scheduled for completion at the end of February.

On March 3, the Ahualoa Gulch Bridge will be closed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents on Kumupele Road are asked to plan ahead, because it is the only access to their homes.

Ahualoa Gulch Bridge will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bridge will now reopen on March 6. Residents on Kumupele Road are asked to plan ahead, because it is the only access to their homes.

Contractor William K. Kapololu Jr, will do the repairs on both bridges at an estimated cost of $154,000. Rain may alter the repair schedule.
