Waikoloa Lions hosting classic car show

MEDIA RELEASE

The 2nd Annual Waikoloa Lions Club Classic Car Show – Blast from the Past is scheduled 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at Queens’ MarketPlace at Waikoloa Beach Drive.

Classic cars from the 1930’s and up shall be featured along with entertainment. The event is free to the public.

Event is limited to the first 100 cars – Specialty cars are welcome and will be given special spacing. Entry fee is $15.

The Queens’ MarketPlace Food Court will be open, and event Classic Car Shirts 2009 will be available for purchase.

Prizes – including hotel stays, lauas and gift certificates – will be given to the Best Classic Car of the Show, Best Specialty Car, and Best Classic Truck.

Participants with classic cars or trucks may contact Scott Carter at 960-1955, Bruce Bannick at 883-2447, or Matty Keith at 896-8538.

Waikoloa Lions Club meets 6:30 p.m. the first Tuesdays each month at the Waikoloa Village Association meeting room, 68-1792 Melia Street.
