Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa has appointed Tetsuji Yamazaki its general manager for the 521-room resort in Keauhou.
In 1997, Yamazaki joined ITT Sheraton as guest services manager for Sheraton Maui Resort and he held several leadership roles there including front office manager, director of property operations, and hotel manager.
Yamazaki has been serving as interim general manager for Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa since former general manager Scott Brooks returned to the mainland several months ago.
Yamazaki, who will oversee all aspects of operations at the oceanfront Sheraton Keauhou Bay, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Sophia University in Japan and a master of professional studies degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Situated on an ancient lava flow at Keauhou Bay, Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa is located on 22 oceanfront acres on Hawaii’s Big Island.Â
