Gusty winds knocked a tree into a utility line in Nanawale Estates causes a power outage in the area near the intersection of Nanawale Blvd and Centella Circle. Police and utility crews worked on the scene detouring traffic from the road.

The National Weather Service has issued high wind advisories for the Big Island and a high wind warning for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. West winds across the summits of the Big Island will be 40-55 mph with gusts up to 75 mph. The wind is due to a strong cold front approaching from the northwest. Small craft advisories have been posted for the waters around Hawaii due to large northwest swells.
