‘Rent’ to benefit Puna Community Medical Center

The Theater Arts Conservatory, a Big Island non-profit theater school and production company, will perform the musical “Rent”  as a fundraiser for the Puna Community Medical Center.

The opening celebration of the Puna Community Medical Center’s Urgent Care Clinic in Sunday, Jan. 11 at the Pahoa Marketplace. The event, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., is open to the public, and will feature live music, food, and a blessing.  

The benefit performances are: Jan. 22 at Akebono Theater, Pahoa; Jan. 23, Jan. 30 and Jan. 31 at Palace Theater, Hilo; and Jan. 24 at Kahilu Theater, Waimea. Curtain times were not announced.

Tickets range from $10 to $25.
