Been drivin’ Queen K? Wanna know what’s up?

MEDIA RELEASE

“Talk Story” meetings on the Queen Kaahumanu Highway Project are 7:30 a.m. the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Kona Mayor’s West Hawaii Office conference room at Hanama Place.

Light refreshments will be served.

Phase 1 involves widening the existing two-lane highway to four-lanes with a median divider from Henry Street to Kealakehe Parkway. This will alleviate traffic congestion and improve traffic circulation through Kona.

The project started July 2005 and is planned for completion this month.

The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons who need special accommodations for this meeting should call 329-5226.
