The Holualoa Village Association kicks off the holiday season with the town’s 12th annual Music & Light Festival this Saturday, December 6th.
The celebration begins with the lighting of the town Christmas tree 6 p.m. at Holualoa Public Library along with the illumination of nearly two dozen village art galleries and shops.
A stage the historic pink Kona Hotel will host John Keawe 6-6:45 p.m. followed by Olga and Greg Shirley, while the stage at Holualoa Public Library will feature the Kona Celtic Connection and the harp / flute music of Manuel and Bernice Roberto. A cappella group Hibiscus Jam will sing holiday tunes next to Holualoa Post Office.
Santa and his Elf will visit with the children until 8 p.m. on the side of the Holualoa Gallery. Free goodies for the keiki from Santa courtesy of Matt and Mary Lovein of Holualoa Gallery.
Food booths from Moulin Rouge French Crepes and Lilikoi Inn will offer treats and Holuakoa Gardens restaurant will sell hot cider and Kona coffee drinks under its terrace lanai.
The Living Hope Church has entertainment for families 5:30-8:30 p.m., with two bouncers, a craft booth, game booth, face painting, ping pong, free balloons, music, dancers, cotton candy, popcorn, coffee and lemonade and BBQ hot dogs.

Parking available at Holualoa School and next to the library for early attendees. Speed limit will be reduced to ensure safety.
